Leadership changes are underway this morning at CEA cannabis industry provider Agrify Corp, which announced four major shifts in its exec team, ranging from cultivation to extraction and Human Resources. The company promoted David Kessler, an Agrify team member since 2020, from Vice President of Horticulture & Customer Success to Executive Vice President (EVP), Chief Science Officer and General Manager, Cultivation Division. Kessler brings extensive cannabis cultivation and CEA facility design experience to the role.
Brian A. Towns, who came to Agrify as part of its 2021 acquisition of Precision Extraction Solutions, is newly promoted to EVP and General Manager, Extraction Division. Sheryl Elliott, SHRM-CP, PHR, Agrify’s Director of Human Resources since 2020, is now Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Stuart Wilcox, former Agrify Board Member and Chief Operating Officer, has left the company.
Agrify Chairman and CEO Raymond Chang expressed excitement at the changes and their potential impact on the company’s strategic plan. “David Kessler has been integral to the development of cultivation at Agrify. His extensive experience and horticultural expertise drives company innovation. As an industry leader, we are thrilled to have David move into the EVP role where he can continue to grow the company’s standing as a leading solution provider in the cannabis industry,” Chang said.
